Do you or your child have a new electric bicycle (E-bike)? As we are seeing an influx in E-bikes, we want to make sure that you are taking the proper safety precautions. Make sure your family is following the rules of the road when it comes to riding.
- Ages 17 and under must wear a helmet.
- Everyone is required to wear a helmet if you ride a Type 3 E-Bike.
- E-bikes are not allowed on the sidewalks in Mill Valley.
- Like vehicles, bicyclists are required to ride on the right side of the roadway.
- You must follow the rules of the road like stopping at stop signs, yielding to pedestrians in the crosswalks, and stopping at red lights.
